Autobiography of a Yogi ~ Paramahansa Yogananda

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI | Paramahansa Yogananda

As the life story of Paramahansa Yogananda — who is often referred to as the Father of Yoga in the West — the book has touched the hearts and minds of millions around the globe. Translated into many languages, it has served as an ambassador for India's ancient science of Yoga, introducing countless readers to the methods for attaining God-realization that are India's unique and lasting contribution to world civilization.

Alive with all the love, warmth, joy, and wisdom that characterize Paramahansa Yogananda, this masterwork of religious literature includes chapters about:

  • The science of Kriya Yoga meditation
  • The law of miracles
  • The lives and missions of Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, and Swami Sri Yukteswar
  • Yogananda's meetings with Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Ramana Maharshi, Luther Burbank, Therese Neumann, and other spiritual luminaries of East and West

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM A SADHU

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM A SADHU
"When you die, what will you carry? Nothing. What you have done, it will remain as it is. You are giving to other people. You are helping others. That will remain every day. That is what I learned, you know. Today is my main day, tomorrow is not in my hands."

WISDOM IN ACTION | The Six Prajna Paramitas

WISDOM IN ACTION | The Six Prajna Paramitas
Prajnaparamita translates to "The Perfection of Wisdom." The word Prajnaparamita combines the Sanskrit words Prajna "Wisdom" with Paramita "Perfection." These Teachings on the 6 Paramitas are not for knowledge - they are for action. Wisdom is to be practiced - only then it deserves to be called Wisdom. Reading about 'Giving' is not GIVING. Liking the philosophy of 'Generosity' does not make you a generous person. The Dharma is an instruction manual - like a cook book - but YOU gotta do the cooking.
