LIMITED EDITION 'MANTRA' PRINTS

LIMITED EDITION 'MANTRA' PRINTS | DROPPING SOON!!
We'll be doing a limited run of these mantra prints in the next couple of weeks. They will be in a series of 50-100 prints/mantra...Signed / Numbered / Stamped.

OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI
The Shanti Mantras or "Peace Mantras" are Hindu Prayers for Peace (Shanti), that are found in the Ancient Vedas. Shanti Mantras always end with three utterances of the word "Shanti," in order to remove obstacles in the three realms: Physical, Divine, & Internal (Adhi-Bhautika, Adhi-Daivika, & Adhyaatmika)

OM MANI PADME HUM
This is the most famous and well-known of Buddhist mantras and it literally translates to, "Hail, the Jewel in the Lotus." It is more of an invocation of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), the Protector. This mantra was specifically created to be a Protection Talisman, to keep all my Peoples' safe from harm.

SACRED SYLLABLES
This print consists of 4 very powerful mantras, including the two mentioned above. The other two mantras are, "OM AMIDEVA HRIH" and "OM VAJRAPANI HUM." The first, "OM AMIDEVA HRIH," is the Mantra of Amitabha, one of the 5 Dhyani-Buddhas in Eastern Buddhism, who represents love and compassion. Amitabha's Mantra is a variant of his name, meaning "Infinite Divinity" or "Infinite Radiance." The second mantra, "OM VAJRAPANI HUM" is the mantra of Vajrapani, "Holder of the thunderbolt," which he uses to cut through the darkness of delusion. He represents the energy of the enlightened mind and his mantra symbolizes that quality.

L.A. ART MACHINE | INTERNATIONAL URBAN ART FESTIVAL

L.A. ART MACHINE | INTERNATIONAL URBAN ART FESTIVAL

Please join L.A. ART MACHINE, in collaboration with FIND Art Magazine, and STROKE Urban Art Fair, this Saturday October 8th, 11am - 9pm at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (LA Plaza) - for a celebration in the park!

501 North Main Street
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Against the backdrop of LA Plaza, historical structures and greenways will merge into the city streets themselves, paralleling the endemic emergence of street art as an artistic form that continues to shape and inspire artists and city-dwellers alike.   Paying homage to LA’s status as a street art capital, while acknowledging the movement’s global influence, this kick-off celebration presents the multi-faceted forms of urban art. Programming will unfold into a moving environment of live painting, outdoor installations, music, food, dance, performance and other forms of urban expression.

What is Urban Art?  As a recently recognized artistic movement, we can think of Urban Art as a style of art that relates to cities and city life often done by artists who live in or have a passion for city living. In that way, it combines street art and graffiti and is often summarized as all visual art forms arising in urban and public spaces, taking the forms of video projection, art intervention, flash mobbing, street installations, urbanism, and other forms arising from an appreciation of urban living and our cities themselves.   In effect, the artwork becomes part of the city landscape itself.

Enjoy a day in the city center of one of the world’s most energetic and complex metropolises with the artists who shape and inspire its landscape.

This outdoor event is free to the public though donations are welcome.  LA Plaza galleries will be open from 12pm to 7pm: admission is $9.00 adults, $5.00 child.

Featured participants and artists include live painting by Abcnt, Chor Boogie, Codak, Cryptik, Hans Haveron, and Mear One; performance by Amy Kaps and Sheron Wray, and site specific installation with Jennifer Vanderpool; Ketchup Soup; Mileece; SPARC, and others.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOHANDAS GANDHI"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOHANDAS GANDHI"
The CRYPTIK MOVEMENT would like to recognize one of the greatest visionaries of our time, Mohandas Gandhi. With all that is going on in the world right now, it would seem like a good time to reflect on some of Gandhi's most important teachings on Truth and Non-violence. Happy Birthday GOD!

"As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world - as in being able to remake ourselves."

"Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man."

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
